This is a provisional Before We Build reconstruction, not canonical Temporistics doctrine. Contact signatures can be derived from the structure of four temporal aspects and four positions, but their interpretation requires validation.

1. Executive Summary

Sources support four aspects, four positions, 24 permutations, six tetrads, and special attention to the third aspect. No completed validated relation matrix comparable to the Socionics system was found.

2.5 Comparative Sources

Psychosophy provides a similar formal structure and Socionics a developed example of relation theory. Their mechanisms and names cannot be transferred directly.

3. Core Assumptions

The working position model says that the first position confidently sets a temporal frame, the second develops it flexibly, the third is experienced as vulnerable, and the fourth has lower salience and more often accepts an external frame. These are hypotheses about processes, not claims about dignity or maturity.

The central question is whether a pair can build coherence around memory, present location, direction, and meaning—or whether a particular contact contributes to fragmentation.

4. Structural Derivation Method

For EPNF = 1E,2P,3N,4F and FNPE = 1F,2N,3P,4E, the EPNF→FNPE signature is 4321. The digits are the positions of A's aspects in B. This is a code for a directed pair relation, not a type of person.

  3. For each, record its position in B.
  4. When direction is asymmetric, show A→B and B→A separately.

5.2 Strategic Salience

Contacts involving first and third positions may be more noticeable, but this is a hypothesis rather than a fixed numerical weight.

5.3 Tetrad and “World” Modifiers

Present+Future and Past+Eternity provide different thematic languages. Similarity may mean resonance or a shared blind spot; difference may mean broader coverage or a priority conflict.

5.4 Do Not Import Socionics Names

Duality, Conflict, Supervision, and other names depend on Model A and do not describe a temporal-existential mechanism.

6. Proposed Temporistics Signatures

There are 24 position permutations. Their BWB mnemonic labels form a vocabulary of structures, not a scale from bad to good.

A name must be shown with its signature and mechanism. Harbor does not mean safety, Storm does not mean destruction, and Counterweights does not mean an ideal match.

7. Tetrad Relations

7.1 What a Tetrad May Indicate

A shared rhythm, vocabulary, and assumptions about memory, place, direction, and meaning.

7.2 What a Tetrad Does Not Prove

Romantic compatibility, absence of conflict, complete complementarity, or an analogue of a Socionics quadra.

7.3 Provisional Interpretation

One tetrad may provide resonance and different tetrads broader coverage. Position contacts and observed behavior matter more than membership alone.

8. Full Type-Pair Matrix

The 24×24 matrix contains only mechanically derived directed signatures. It is not a table of relationship quality and does not produce a verdict.

9. Examples

9.1 EPNF + FNPE

4321: reciprocal anchoring of strong and weak temporal zones is possible; check dependence, control, and repair capacity at other levels.

9.2 EPNF + NEFP

3142: pressure around Present, place, and belonging is possible; check whether defensiveness is better explained by structure, power, stress, or the concrete situation.

9.3 NEFP + NFEP

1324: shared target Present and an exchange between creative and vulnerable processing of Eternity and Future; support is possible but not guaranteed.

10. Comparison with Socionics and Psychosophy

Socionics models tactical information exchange, Psychosophy operational action organization, and Temporistics the strategic temporal-existential frame. They may share a position-comparison method, but not the meaning of a contact.

11. Risks of Importing Socionics Names

The risks are false authority, the wrong mechanism, level confusion, overprediction, and loss of Temporistics specificity.

12. Validation Strategy

Test through interviews, cases, and scenarios involving relocation, career change, family tradition, crisis, loss of meaning, and plan revision. Compare a signature hypothesis with a model without Temporistics and with explanations based on Big Five, attachment, values, life stage, time perspective, conflict style, and social context. Do not introduce weights or a global score before reliable calibration.

13. Final Position

The structural layer follows exactly from the accepted type codes. The interpretive layer remains provisional and requires independent interviews, behavioral scenarios, and longitudinal testing.
